**Update 3:01PM**
I grabbed my copy, and did my part by fulfilling my pledge. What I did notice, is how Mozilla is balancing the load on for each download. I clicked download three times and I got the following servers for download:
mozilla.mirror.ac.za
mozilla.jiddernet.se
sunsite.rediris.es
Looks like they are balancing the massive load using their extensive mirror sites.
**Update 2:56PM**
It’s there folks, finally! Jump on over to mozilla.com and you will find Firefox 3.0 in all its glory waiting for you to download and become part of history. Let’s hope their servers hold up. Another huge milestone for the OSS community.
**Update 2:30PM **
Back from lunch… Still having trouble connecting to mozilla.com, however I have been able to connect after refreshing once or twice. You can directly get Firefox 3 here without a problem. Not sure if downloading from here counts towards Download Day stats.
**Update 1:33PM**
Mozilla’s FTP servers are hosed too… keep on trying folks!
HTTP/1.1 Service Unavailable

Today is Download Day! Mozilla released Firefox 3 twenty-two minutes ago, and already their servers are completely slammed. Mozilla.com, spreadfirefox.com, and getfirefox.com are all sitting ducks. I can’t get to it, and I know a lot of my friends on other networks are having trouble connecting as well. How can mozilla break a download record if no one can download Firefox? Well, you better believe people are downloading it, because if they weren’t, you would be able to download it without a problem. Keep trying!

I’ve been trying in vain too for the past 30 minutes. I think I’ll give up now and give it another go in a few hours. Or maybe tomorrow morning when the US has gone to sleep - will that still count as download day (I’m in the UK)?
I think it will count if it is within 24 hours of the 1PM EST release.
